Omega MVC — Time Package Manual ​

The Omega\Time package is a small, immutable wrapper around DateTimeImmutable with fluent accessors, predicates for relative dates, and a set of RFC/ISO formatting shortcuts. It has no external dependencies.

Creating a date ​

The constructor accepts any value DateTimeImmutable::__construct() accepts ('now', ISO strings, strtotime-style expressions) plus an optional timezone. Invalid input throws a DateMalformedStringException/DateInvalidTimeZoneException.

Provided by the DateTimeFormatTrait and called on the instance:

Fluent immutable setters ​

Setters do not mutate the instance — each returns a new Now:

echo $birthday->getAge();   // whole years elapsed

Predicates ​

Month checks isJan()...isDec(), weekday checks isMonday()...isSunday(), and relative comparisons against the current instant:

Notes ​

  • The package provides no relative-time/diff-for-humans helpers and no Carbon compatibility layer. For human-readable elapsed time, implement it on top of getTimestamp().
